COVID-19 Policies

Health Policies

The German Swing Dance Club e.V. is dedicated to protecting the health and safety of every community member through implementation of best practices based on the advice of health professionals and state recommendations. We will continue to update our guidelines to accommodate current health recommendations for Germany.

The previous years have shown that the pandemic situation and local regulations can change quickly. This also means that we cannot provide a fix set of rules at this point in time.

Therefore, we decided to give you a range of policies from our minimal requirements to the maximal option that might become necessary. This allows us to react to a changing situation and you to decide if you are fine to attend the event within this range.

Berlin and the German state have a range of measures prepared to react to the the current situation during fall and winter 2022 (Basisschutzmaßnahmen). Our guidelines are based on these measures, so that we can adapt quickly should the state require us to.

At this moment, we expect the minimal requirements to be in place during the event. We will update this page to clearly state which level of policies the event will run under.

Please be aware that there will be no refunds if we have to adopt the stricter measures and that would make you unable to participate.

TLDR

  • all covid regulations have different levels that might be in effect for the event
  • by buying your ticket, you accept any level of regulations (see below for details)
  • current levels (this will be updated if required)
    • Access Policy: Level 1 - no access restrictions
    • Test Policy: Level 1 - rapid test less than 24h before the event (please test before travel!)
    • Mask Policy: Level 1 - masks are optional

Please read the remainder of this page carefully to understand what stricter rules might be enforced if local regulations require it.

The following policies will be in effect for 2022.

Vaccine Policy

You are considered fully vaccinated if one of the following applies:

  • you had 3 vaccinations against COVID-19
  • you had 2 vaccinations against COVID-19 AND have recovered (positive PCR test from not later than November 10, 2022)

The time of vaccination is not relevant. All EU-approved vaccines are accepted.

Access Policy

Currently effective: Level 1

  • Level 1: Access granted to anyone
  • Level 2: Access requires to be
    • a: fully vaccinated (see above)
    • b: recovered within the last 90 days (positice PCR test required from after September 13 and before November 10, 2022)
    • c: daily officially tested result (participant bears cost of test, rapid test sufficient)
  • Level 3: Access requires to be
    • a: fully vaccinated (see above)
    • b: recovered within the last 90 days (positice PCR test required from after September 13 and before November 10, 2022)
  • Level 4: Access requires to be fully vaccinated (see above)

Test Policy

Currently effective: Level 1

  • Level 1: Rapid Test once no more than 24h before entering the event (participant bears cost of test)
    • a: official test (people who want to attend an indoor event get them at a discounted rate for 3€)
    • b: self test at the venue (BYOT)
  • Level 2: daily rapid testing
    • a: official test
    • b: self test at the venue (tests provided by the event in this case)

Mask Policy

Currently effective: Level 1

  • Level 1: Masks are optional
  • Level 2: Masks off the dance floor are mandatory, during dancing optional
  • Level 3: Masks are mandatory at all time in the venue

For the levels 2 and 3, the required minimum mask is

  • a: medical mask
  • b: FFP2/N95/KN95 or similar

Other Health Policies

  • Plenty of hand sanitizer will be available in the venue, please use it at your own discretion.
  • Regular venting breaks will be implemented throughout the weekend.

Falsifying Health Information

Attendees who provide falsified records or otherwise intentionally mislead the event about their vaccination or test status shall receive a lifetime ban from all German Swing Dance Clug e.V. events and its partner events.

For all partners with a full vaccination policy, we will institute a reciprocal ban for falsification of vaccination/test evidence at the partner event.
